Goodreads Summary
Witty and Heartwarming Contemporary Romance by an Up-and-Coming Author

Blake Hunziker has played nomad for five years and landed in his fair share of trouble too. But now he's finally returning to his hometown--the Lake Michigan tourist town of Whisper Shore. Counting on a not-so-warm welcome, he's surprised at not only a positive reception but also a job offer. Determined to settle down and prove himself responsible, he agrees to the catch that comes with the job offer--coordinating the annual Christmas festival--even though he has no idea how he'll pull it off.

Autumn Kingsley, inn owner and experienced organizer of the Christmas festival, has always dreamed of traveling the world. Now she has a job opportunity in Paris and a surprise potential investor coming to town who just might take on her family's inn and finally leave her free to go. The only problem is that she has just two weeks to whip the inn into shape.

Their families have a long history of not getting along, but when Blake comes to Autumn for help with the festival, she actually agrees...in exchange for his help with the repairs to her inn. They may have struck a simple deal, but complications are quick to pile on when the guy who's had enough of running away and the woman who can't wait to leave join forces.

My Review
There is so much I want to say about this book!! I'll try to tone it down though!

While this was the first book I've read by Melissa Tagg, it certainly won't be the last. I fell in love with this book , Whisper Shore, and the irresistable Blake Hunziker! Blake and Autumn were both fantastic characters and Ms. Tagg did a phenomenal job with their character developement as well as that of the other minor characters, I really enjoyed her writing style.

Blake was pretty amazing. He had a naturally fun loving nature, but he also had this vulnerable side that just made him so real and likeable, then his caring side that came out at the best times, and the courage that it took him to stop running from his past and come back home! And then there was his nickname for Autumn - I found it so endearing and cute! Autumn was his opposite in some ways - always wanting to do what's best for those around her, determined and responsible, cautious, and definitely sarcastic and funny! Get them together? Your in for a blast - they're perfect for each other they just don't know it! Combine them with the awesome other characters - a girl with down syndrome, a past teacherm, their families, etc, and you're in for an awesome ride! And don't forget to add in hilarious moments and great conversations between the characters!

From hilarious verbal sparring to more series issues such as guilt, loss, family issues, prejudice, and the past, realizing what your true dreams, etc., this book had it all. I found myself laughing on muliple occasions, unable to put the book down. I stayed up late because I was so into it, cried at times and said awww as my heart swelled and left a smile on my face. It was very well writen, and a book that I highly recommend!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are solely my own.
