Heroes of the Horde 2 Siege Goodreads Summary
Last year's battle was just the beginning. Now the Horde is sending out smarter, more personal demons to attack the superpower-charged teenage Heroes. Romantic tension mounts between Hero members and jealousy is in high gear. Can the Heroes put their personal issues aside long enough to locate the source of the Horde before it destroys them all?

My Review
What do you do when a huge situation is even bigger than it seems? More dangerous? More severe? When even the ones you love can turn against you - even if it's not really them?!

Well that's what happened in Siege, book two of the Heroes of the Horde series! They won't give up, and even though their awesome powers have grown, the demons know how to punch them where it hurts. Will they be able to handle it?

As more characters come in, and they struggle with whom they can trust and keeping their secret, drama runs really high, and they just can't figure out how to defeat all of the demons, their friendship strengthens and breaks in multileveled ways.

One of my favorite things about this series (other than the cool demon fighting powers) is that there are so many diverse characters! Each one has their own personality and voice that really shines through in the character perspective switches (which Hartz really has a way with) making them even more believable. They each have their own issues and things to overcome in life, making sure that there is someone that every teen or adult can identify with. We see more about each of the characters from book one Unleashed in Siege, and how they handle the situations that arise in life.

This series takes situations that are all to realistic in life, and teaches us about the importance of trust, forgiveness, and repentance - which are really important for all people to learn, and it was done with skill!

I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are solely my own.
